Energy Healing

What happens during a Reiki session?

What to expect

The practitioner channels "universal life force energy" to promote healing and well-being with the goal to facilitate the body's natural healing abilities by balancing and harmonising energy flow. The practitioner may stay in each position for a few minutes to enable to universal energy to reach the flow rate needed. If Reiki energy is flowing, then this position may be held for a longer period of time.

When Reiki energy is flowing, you might experience sensations like warmth, tingling, a buzzing feeling, or a sense of deep relaxation in the area where the practitioner's hands are placed in both hands-on and distance treatments; however, it's important to remember that everyone experiences Reiki differently, and some people may not feel anything physically while still receiving the energy benefits. Intention and openness are key: Your receptiveness to the energy can impact how you experience Reiki.

Communication with your practitioner: If you are unsure if the Reiki is flowing, openly communicate your feelings with the practitioner.

Sensations you may feels are listed below but are not limited to this list -

Physical sensations:

Feeling warmth, tingling, pressure, pulsing, or a wave-like sensation in the body where the practitioner's hands are positioned.

Emotional responses:

Feeling calm, relaxed, lighter, or a release of emotions during a Reiki session.

Mental clarity: Experiencing increased focus, clarity of thought, or a sense of peace.

Subtle changes: Even if you don't feel intense sensations, noticing a subtle shift in your overall well-being after a session can indicate that Reiki energy is flowing.

Hands on sessions

Reiki practitioners typically place their hands lightly on or above a person's body, in a specific sequence focusing on specific areas or energy centers (chakras). Unlike massage, The client does not need to remove any clothing and a reiki session does not involve any form of physical manipulation.

Distance Treatments

The practitioner will speak with he client before the sessions begins asking the client to make themselves comfortable for the treatment - the practitioner will them leave the call and proceed with he session in which the client may feels some of the sensations, relax or even sleep - once the session is over the practitioner will speak again to the client.

Depending on the circumstances, distance can treatments can also be performed and sent to the client for when they relax for sleep
