What happens during a Reiki session?
What to expect
The practitioner channels "universal life force energy" to promote healing and well-being with the goal to facilitate the body's natural healing abilities by balancing and harmonising energy flow. The practitioner may stay in each position for a few minutes to enable to universal energy to reach the flow rate needed. If Reiki energy is flowing, then this position may be held for a longer period of time.

When Reiki energy is flowing, you might experience sensations like warmth, tingling, a buzzing feeling, or a sense of deep relaxation in the area where the practitioner's hands are placed in both hands-on and distance treatments; however, it's important to remember that everyone experiences Reiki differently, and some people may not feel anything physically while still receiving the energy benefits. Intention and openness are key: Your receptiveness to the energy can impact how you experience Reiki.
Communication with your practitioner: If you are unsure if the Reiki is flowing, openly communicate your feelings with the practitioner.
